Ball-It releases Motion Control SDK for Java ME
Oulu, Finland, April 12, 2007 – Ball-IT has today released a
Motion Control Software Development Kit (SDK) for Java ME. The SDK enables
game programmers and the like to easily and effortlessly integrate
sophisticated motion control features to their Java ME games and
applications. "We believe there is an urgent need for
general purpose Motion Control Software Development Kit for mobiles, so
that game and application developers can take advantage of contemporaty
sensing technologies without having to deal with raw sensor data, or plain
orientation data. Our Motion Control SDK is targeted to companies and
programmers who want to use the sophisticated event-based motion
regognition features with real-time, filtered and balanced continuous
motion data. They don't have to implement complexities like magnetic
sensor calibration, motion path prediction or adaptive orientation
filtering, that is built-in our SDK", said Johannes Väänänen, Chairman,
Ball-It. The SDK works with all Ball-It's products, including
ping-pong ball sized Smart Ball, the first true 6D motion control
accessory for mobiles. The SDK requires MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1 and JSR 82.
Most modern Bluetooth-enabled phones support this
configurations. Initially the SDK is available for Ball-It's partner companies.
